Romans 2012 Committee Elections

It's time for our members to have their say yet again in terms of who you want to help run your team.

If you are a current member of the team, please email your vote to the General Manager (you may simply reply to this email) or you may vote by secret ballot at training on Sunday 19th February 2012. 

Please put numbers in the order in which you prefer each person. The person with the highest number of 1st choices wins (and becomes the main manager of the role) and where the vote is tied, we will look at 2nd and third choices.

After there is a winner we will look at second choices for second place, and so on. For example this could be one outcome:

Nearest tube: wood green (piccadilly line)

Directions from tube: come out of wood green station onto high street and turn right. Go straight on and take your third right into white hart lane. The training area is about a five minute walk up white hart lane on your left.

Kit: any shirt, any shorts, any football socks, shin pads and football or astro boots (or trainers) depending on the ground.

Subs: £2 per player

After training we will be heading to our sponsors opposite wood green tube station - wetherspoons - spouter's corner for a few drinks. Please bring a passport photo if you want to get a new membership card.

A number of London football teams have successfully used teamer in arranging/manging fixtures with their players.

As promised our www.teamer.net account is now up and running. All of you should have received an email with your log-in details (if you haven't please email me your mobile number and I will make sure you are included).

We will be using this to communicate information about training and matches with immediate effect - you should have already received a text about the next match and training session - please reply to this text as soon as possible with y or y2 (yes) or n or n2 (no) depending on what the text says (replies are charged at standard text rate or may be included as part of your free text allowance) or you can log into the website and notify your availability for free. We will also send cancellation notices using Teamer.
 
Team emails will be sent less frequently from now on - please use Teamer and our website. You can still email me if you want to inform me about an injury, holidays, any complaints/suggestions/ideas for the club.

Xmas Social (postponed) & Training session - Cancelled

Saturday 18th December 2011 Romans social has been postponed till the new year.

Sunday 19th December 2011 Training session has also been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. 

The next training session is scheduled for Monday 3rd January 2011.

Well done to everyone who has played in a London Unity Football League match this season.

The trophy is ours to keep for the year, we have been mentioned on the official LUFL website.

 

New Website

Welcome to the new look of Londons Romans FC , I have spent the last week developing this new site by giving it a new facelift, adding some new functionality to make it easier to use and bringing it up to date with current website trends.

I joined the club as a committee member and webmaster last year September 08 and took over the management of the existing website which hadnt been updated in months ! The team has done amazingly well the last few matches and it was time to say bye to the old colour scheme look (few years old) and welcome this new fresh design.

Please update your bookmarks to www.london-romans.com  the reason the website has changed addresses is that I have implemented some new technologies which required a change of hosting which I was already familar with.
